We are the experts in Video Weddings and bring many years of video experience to Spokane, WA. It’s our goal to create a story that will be cherished by you and your families; one that will bring emotion every time you view it, and help you to remember one of the most important days of your lives. Every film is meticulously worked until the music, shots, and the personality of the film flow into a your unique story.
HISTORY;
In 1982, Tony & Celeste Horpel founded Alpha Video Services and began offering video weddings in Huntington Beach, (Orange County), in Southern California. At that time, video weddings were virtually unknown.
By 1986, with a crew of nine, we videotaped almost 300 weddings. Later that year, our extensive experience led to the production and distribution of the popular how-to video, “A Professional Approach to Video Weddings”. This instructional video was marketed to budding videographers throughout the country in Videomaker Magazine and quickly became the standard for dynamic video wedding coverage and production. Alpha Video Services pioneered many of the techniques and features used by wedding videographers today. We were excellent, well-known and sought-after for our quality weddings. So in that fourth year, we realized that we had found our niche; This is when we decided to specialize and advertise only in Weddings.
In 1990, after having adopted a child, we realized we were way too busy to be able to pay attention to both a business and a child. It was hard, but we had priorities of “family first”, so we chose to sell off the business and go into something else that would allow Celeste to stay home, & allowed Tony to be home at night & weekends.
Now our three children are grown! We re-started the business again, here in Spokane, in January, 2010 with the same name, Alpha Video Services. Now in 2012, we have 10 years experience and about 750 weddings and events under our belts. We love what we do, we know what we’re doing, AND WE’RE GOOD AT IT!
We love Weddings!
We have a special love for video weddings because the Wedding Day is one of a couple’s few times that can be shared with others, and yet also be called their own at the same time. When we shoot a wedding, we are so moved by the joy of everyone there. It’s contagious! It is a thrill to be around the excitement of weddings. We come alive when we shoot.
The Wedding Film is the first wonderful story of a couple’s life. We’ve decided that there is only one other occasion that can compete with weddings and the happiness they bring, and that is watching your child be born. Both events change life forever. Both bring equal, and yet different emotions, and they stand out as a momentous event that will be cherished the rest of one’s life.
It’s a wonderful feeling to know that we are creating an incredible memory for our clients: A memory they have little appreciation for yet. We love to hear their response after they view it for the first time.
